Courtney Ford

Executive Director & Co-Founder
Courtney brings over 20 years of aquatics leadership and community advocacy. As a Level III U.S. Masters Swimming coach, she has led innovative initiatives in Central Delaware, including launching the region’s first USMS-sanctioned adult meet. She has led collaborative health initiatives such as the SWAM program, developed with Delaware State University and the YMCA of Delaware, which integrated clinical oversight, real-time data tracking, and aquatic safety programming for neurodiverse youth. Her experience drives FSAC’s vision for inclusive, community-centered aquatics.

Julie Gorman

Board President & Co-Founder
A former USA Swimming national champion and NCAA title holder, Julie brings elite-level experience in aquatic sport and performance, along with a deep understanding of athlete health.  The Owner of Edelman Spine & Orthopaedic Physical Therapy, her expertise ensures strong integration of national performance sports alongside community health programming.

Planning &
Strategy

Captain Loftus, U.S. Air Force (Ret.), brings expertise in safety management, mission planning, regulatory compliance, and complex systems operations. Supporting long-term vision through thoughtful planning, and an unwavering focus on safety, efficiency, and mission-driven results.

Joel Loftus

John combines over a decade of Masters swimming experience with a professional background in healthcare planning. His perspective contributes to thoughtful and sustainable organizational development.

John Van Gorp

As head coach of a successful year-round swim program, Strohm brings expertise in athlete development and operations. His leadership experience supports the design and growth of effective aquatics programming.

Jenn is a dedicated coach and program leader who has contributed countless hours to athlete development. Her hands-on experience in building team culture and programming provides valuable insight.

Nanette’s longstanding involvement in local organizations and aquatics helps strengthen outreach efforts and foster a welcoming environment.

Resource Development

Dr. Rawlins is a leader in public and allied health sciences at Delaware State University. His experience in program development and community-based research strengthens FSAC’s partnerships and resource initiatives.

Knolan Rawlins

Laurie brings a background in healthcare and a long history supporting youth aquatics as a swim parent. Her connections and understanding of community needs support development and outreach efforts.

Laurie Judy

John is a committed Masters swimmer and community supporter known for his consistency and team involvement. His engagement strategies contribute to advancing fundraising and development efforts.
